Grid layout requries double click on mobile

I’ve got a site where I’m trying Customizr(bokasnarast.se) with grid layout. I’m happy with it so far but when viewing the site on mobile (Firefox Android and Safari Ios) the behaviour isn’t as I would hope. If you click the text header then you get to the article just fine, but if you click the thumbnail then instead of opening the article is shows the excerpt. I would wish that clicking the feature image on mobile would open the article instead.

Is this possible to accomplish?
