    Hi!

Lately i face a curious problem, which happens after the last 2 updates i believe.

When i write an article i get the Green light for the post.
When i see the post in the All Posts section of WP i see the same article in the list with Red Light.

If i mouse over the ref light it says focus keyphase not set, which isnt happening because i have already set it and thats why i got Green Light when i was writting the post.

When i open the post to edit it, I can see the Green Light in the Post Page. The red light only happens in ALl Posts List in WP section.

It looks wired to me… Can you guess what is happening? I can no longer check which posts need improvement.

Forgot to mention that this is happening only to the new posts. THa old posts look ok!
Also when a post is Orange light, i have Orange in both writting the post and All Posts list.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello @nek007

I am sorry about the disparity in the SEO score you see when editing your post and what shows on the posts overview page.

The Yoast SEO plugin performs SEO and readability analysis of the content straight in your browser while you are editing (as you add content, make modifications, etc). This is the score displayed in your post/page edit screen.

Once you publish or save a post, this score is then saved to the database. The scores saved in the database are the ones that are displayed in the post/page overview screen (under the score columns). Due to database caching (or other caching), it’s possible that your database hasn’t synced the SEO scores yet. Clicking “Update” on the post should sync the “database score”. Then clear your browser’s cache and see if it resolves the issue?

    It didnt work!

Its strange because when i get an orange light i get it in both cases. It only happens when i get green light in editing post… it shows red in posts overview page!

I use wp-rocket cache plugin and i dont cache the admin.

    Hi there,

Could you ensure that everything on your site is updated, including WordPress, theme, and ALL plugins? If you’re using Google Chrome, try logging in to your WP Admin in incognito mode. You may also try using another browser and/or machine and see if the issue resolves.

    Hi again!

I have already tried this but still same problem!

TRied differente browsers, cleared browsers cache, changed computer and location… same thing!

    Hey @nek007,

    Apologies for the late response.

If everything is up to date already, I’d recommend doing a conflict check next to see if you can also reproduce the same behavior if only Yoast SEO is active and with a default theme. The easiest way to do this without affecting site visitors is with the Health Check plugin, steps to do this can be found here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

Please note that earlier today we released 19.8, please check if the issue is reproducible with the latest version. Thanks!

    Hi again!

Sorry for the long delay but i was away for long… I hope you dont mind coming back to the issue.

I followed the link https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/ you provided and all the instructions in the post.

The problem still persists when only the default theme and only yoast plugin are enabled. According to the post it looks as a yoast plugin bug, but i dont think thats the case.

Is there anything else i can try? Its really annoying having to edit each post in order to check their SEO score, when i try to improve my SEO.

Is there anything else i can try?

    Thanks again!
