Green Admin Icon
-
This plugin is great overall, but why is the admin icon green (via an inline admin style)? I know this sounds like a small issue, but it draws unnecessary attention to an administrative menu that should be set up once and left, not drawing the eye every time an admin user logs into the dashboard. Making this icon green and setting !important on the style inline rather than through an enqueued script breaks the backend UX and prevents designers/developers promoting your plugin from making it fit seamlessly into the wordpress UI.
As a designer and developer, I prefer to recommend plugins to my clients that integrate seemlessly into the wordpress interface in look and feel. They blend in and feel like they work better because they fit into the overall UI and provide a more polished looking product. This is not the only plugin guilty of using a weird icon, but typically I’ll override recommended plugin admin-menu icons with appropriate dashicons via my theme admin css. Unfortunately but because colors are tied to the admin themes colors are not so easily overridden. Could you please remove the color styling for the admin menu icon on a future update? Or at the very least allow it to be turned off manually? I appreciate all the work that has gone into building this plugin and it has saved me countless hours building something similar on my own, but that icon drives me crazy.
Thanks a million!
