• Stats can be had for free elsewhere. So, it makes sense that you should keep that module free. If you still felt it necessary to squeeze us, then have a minimal monthly fee, NOT charge us incrementally by visitor count. That’s just being overly greedy. I can tell by the increasing 1-star ratings that your angry customers are not having it – us included. Bye Jetpack.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Hi there,

First of all, thanks for your feedback.

Jetpack’s Stats feature was indeed available for free for many years, and now requires a plan if your site is a commercial site. As you mentioned, we do indeed offer different tiers based on your website’s traffic.

This change allows us to keep working on the feature so it remains available for years to come, and gives us the means to work on improvements and new features for Jetpack and for Stats.

I understand that you may not have the means to pay for the feature today, or may not be willing to pay for Stats when there are other free Stats plugins out there. That’s perfectly understandable. In that scenario, you can disable Jetpack’s Stats feature under Jetpack > Settings > Modules in your dashboard. That will allow you to continue to rely on the other features offered by the Jetpack plugin.
