• Thanks for taking over the running of this plugin, most of the new changes look good.

    I’d prefer it if my site email settings were used though (we use an api to link to a mailing host) and now need to have duplicated settings. Also I’ll need to remember to disable your plugin when I want to disable site emails which isn’t ideal compared to just having the one setting to change.

    Thanks for your feedback! ??

    The plugin takes the EM Settings and sets those as default. There are many plugins that overwrite the EM Email settings (like WP SMTP, for example).
    But those take over wp_mail().

    This plugin does not use wp_mail(), because it has several limitations – especially within Events Manager. There are filters in the EM_Mailer class that are not called if wp_mail is used. ??
    So, (taking mostly the Pro version into account) Sendmail or SMTP are needed.

    You could however make a small plugin that checks if you have disabled site emails (wp_mail) and then automatically disables this plugin as well. Please open a support topic if you need help with that. ??

    Ahh so you don’t want to have to rewrite the EM plugin ?? The above makes sense and thanks for the speedy response.
