• Don’t remember why I stopped using this plugin before, although I do remember it was rather bloated/oversized for what I need to accomplish. I found a much slimmer, simpler alternative, although I now feel the alternative is a bit too simple. So I’ve been looking again and thought I’d come back to ai1ec to see if anything is new or improved.

Unfortunately, I found that the major “new” development seems to be the fact that certain functions which were previously free, now cost money. I specifically need a plugin that can basically display a WordPress version of a Google Calendar. AI1EC used to do that, but now you have to pay for it as a separate add-on. I’m not looking for all sorts of bells and whistles like letting people add their own events, or selling tickets/reservations. I just want to show a Google Calendar without the dirt-cheap method of pasting HTML Embed code into my site.

Guess I’ll be staying with the plugin that I originally used to replace AI1EC in the first place. Doesn’t seem to be ANY good alternatives out there. Very disappointing.
