Could be a great plugin, not working with Divi, sadly still no slug translation

  • I love that the basic idea and it is user-friendly, not complicated. Good work, thanks. But…

    Using it with the Divi template framework, it is often not working. Saving content is a big issue for example. I am experiencing this with a client.

    Also, as a web designer for this client, I almost decided to delete this plugin, and maybe never use it, due to multiple copies of the original content, and due to the very slow performance while editing. Then I was made aware of the new version and decided to test that one. That version fixed it! Probably it was not working before due to the SSL bug. Great!

    Sadly, the plugin does not support a very IMPORTANT functionality:
    “Do not support different slug for each language(Yet).”

    For now we have stopped using this plugin. When the issues with Divi and the translation of slugs are supported, I can reconsider.

    Did you see support for Divi Builder in the description? Or maybe did not read the text that multilanguage slags are not supported?

    No, but was that necessary? Divi is a template, not a plugin. Well, the normal application that is.

    I’ve changed the review to 3 points; It seems a more fair score than 2.

    When it also is compatible with Divi, then you’ll have a major user base extra.

    And when are you planning to enable the translation of slugs?

    This is a known bug and both @valexar and ET team are working on the solution.
    Now there is a workaround – jut edit multilang pages in the backend editor (not visual builder).

    I am not agree about other statements related to the speed it. I am using both Divi 3.0.106 and WP Multilang on my production site and have no issues other then described above. I have started to use WP Multilang right after QT-X auther has abandoned his work. And I am not aware about the slug, not so big WP user ??

    @valexar Maybe you could repeat an idea on QT-X by adding a single-language locking in the admin side? That case all other system will see only a full transparent texts like w/o your plugin. Is it possible? The cure for the editing only.

    That bug was not there anymore with the latest WP Multilang plugin. That is also what I wrote.

    And about the content copies: This was happening in the back-end editor.

    I have never promised that my plugin will work with Divi Builder. But you’ve decided that this is a problem with my plugin that I have to solve and trying to force me to do it by placing a low rating for what my plugin has never done and should not do.
    If you do not like my plugin, use others. If you have questions about the plugin, ask the support forum. But you do not have to force me to do what you need to manipulate the rating.
    I made this plugin for my needs and shared with others solely for altruistic reasons. I have invested a lot of my time and effort and I do not get any profit from this plugin. If you would like to join the development and help improve integration with other plugins and functionality, I will be glad to accept your help. But do not be manipulated.
    Perhaps this is why today those plugins with paid versions or additional payed extensions are predominantly developing. And those made by the enthusiasts absolutely free, are no longer developed or barely mowed precisely through users who forcibly require developers to do what they need for users regardless of complexity and time consuming and free of charge through manipulation of ratings.
