• A really great testimonial plugin, the author should be commended.

Very promising plugin… unfortunately my questions and bug reports went un-answered on the support forums despite waiting patiently for over 2 weeks. I don’t mind if the author doesn’t want to address the questions I asked, but a reply would have been nice.

I ended up having to hack the plugin to get it to display correctly and find other work arounds. Disapointed with what I was hoping would be the icing on the cake for our wordpress site.

    Hi tdmohr,

I must say, this two star rating is quite surprising.

I’ve just taken a look at the support forum and I can see that you have made two contributions. In the first contribution I believe I went above and beyond helping you, even offering you personalized code samples which I highly doubt you would get from any other free plugin author, ever. You then went on to thank me for the great code sample.

The second contribution you made was a single post at the end of a resolved thread. If you need support, create your own thread or it is very likely no-one will see your post (as has obviously happened).

In light of this, I certainly hope you will consider changing your rating, as I have put a lot of hard work and my own free time in to Clean Testimonials and to have this type of thing happen due to a misunderstanding is quite gut wrenching.

Having said that, if you were to go ahead and create your own support thread, I would be more than happy to help you.

PS: You have given me the same rating as a guy who couldn’t get the plugin to work at all (which I believe is due to his own incompetence and/or having only exactly three seconds on patience when it comes to installing plugins). You mentioned, however, that everything works great, except you didn’t hear back from me in 2 weeks, within a thread that was buried and marked as resolved. A little unbalanced, no? ??

    Hi Luke,

I think you are getting a little confused. You have not replied to me, ever.

Please take a look at the threads again and see if it clears things up for you. In the unlikely event that wordpress failed to notify me AND that it is not rendering in my browser I have taken screenshots that I can send you.

The second post was indeed on a thread marked as resolved. Clearly the issue wasn’t resolved, the OP just moved on to another plugin. I thought collating the same issues together in threads is more helpful and shows that I’ve done my research, rather than blindly posting in forums and asking uneducated questions. If that is not your preferred method of working, I’ll create new threads in future.

I would not say I am being unbalanced, heres my maths: I have received zero (0) support from you, which is fine, its a free plugin (+ 5) and the fact it exists is a great asset to the community, however a reply on either thread (buried or not) would have been polite (-3) = 2.

    Cheers,
    Tim

    Hi Tim,

    Thanks for your reply mate.

As mentioned, yes please create your own support thread and I would be more than happy to help you.

Once a topic is marked as resolved, I stop receiving notifications. Furthermore, even if you’re having the same issue, as per the WordPress Support Forum guidelines, you should still create a new thread. This is because even though your issue may be the same, the cause is likely to be different.

I will look out for your thread ??
