Great plugin, but still need some improvements

I appreciate the fact that our PDFs files are optimized in addtion of the images.
A really great plugin but it miss the functionnality of the automatic optimization of added folder(s).
Once added, it’s not logic to have to manually (and regulary) process these files rather than benefit of an automatic optimization on upload.

By default, why not generate webp only if the size is less important than the original file??
For that, normal, comportment we have to add a filter in our functions.php, otherwise we’ll regulary find webp bigger thant the originals ??

I’ve noticed that sometimes, for an unknown reason, the webp format are not used anymore on the websites. I have to change a setting in the plugin, save my configuration, then “restore” this setting and resave for make it works again.

Is there’s any plan for avif optimization?

Despite this little imperfections I choose this plugin after trying several others (Robin Image Optimizer, WebPExpress, etc) ;).

Keep up the good work and, please, think about these little improvements/corrections to make it even better :).
