• Hey.

All day today I’ve been trying many different comments plugins but nothing beat wpDiscuz so I decided to stick with it.

I’ve been trying all these because wpDiscuz is slowing my site down. It is certain because I tested it out so much.

Is there any way to make it a little more lightweight or maybe a tweak a setting I haven’t seen?

    Thanks!

Also, is there a way to change the default wpDiscuz text editor where someones write his/her comments?
For example replace it with tinymce.

    Thanks!

Sorry for the triple posts but I can’t edit my first post.

Is there an option to press if a visitor presses a registered user’s avatar on the comments, to redirect to his registered profile. I use Ultimate Member.

Also, is there an option I can turn on to send an email to administrator when someone (registered or anonymous) subscribes to comments?

    Thank again.

    Hi catmaniax,

Something is incorrect configured on your website. wpDiscuz is very light plugin, it works much faster than native comment system. Please check these:
    1. Set maximum number of parent comments 10-20
    2. Use content breaking “read more” option, set 300-500 chars.
    3. Disable “Enable automatic image URL to image HTML conversion” option
    4. Use the lightest avatar system, 80% of wpDiscuz loading time depends on Gravatar, if you change it to WP First Letter Avatar or WP User Avatar it’ll be very light.
    5. Use cache Plugins
    6. Use Boosters like WP Performance Score Booster

For example replace it with tinymce.

tinymce is the most heavy thing. It’ll slow down your page 3-5 times. We have no plan to add it.

Please navigate to wpDiscuz Settings > Integrations > Ultimate Member Tab and read the instruction.

    Hey,

Thanks for your answer! I will test this out.

However I need a visual editor, instead of the plugin’s default editor.
Is there a way I can achieve that?

    Thanks!

    Hi catmaniax,
I’m really sorry but we have no clue for this yet.
