• I have used the Pro version on many websites, and the plugin works well and has all the expected features. However, I have some specific requests that I plan to share with the product team at a later stage.

The main issue I have encountered is the lack of a proper method to manage staging site licenses. The team is using some third party solution to manage the licenses and I think that is their drawback. We always use our staging websites and do all modifications first in the staging environment before deploying them to production. All our websites are hosted on WPEngine.

On some websites, when moving from staging to production, the calculator stops working. To address this, I have been temporarily resolving the issue by deactivating and reactivating the license on the affected website. Additionally, during these occurrences, the entire page experiences performance lag.

The only additional feature I would ask is to add the ability to add multiple prices for the dropdown values. Example use case: Add refundable and non-refundable rates for a specific date. If we can add several prices for a dropdown value and calculate it accordingly, it would reduce the steps and time needed to create a complex calculator.

Their current implementation treats the staging site as temporary, but this is not the usual scenario. If this issue gets resolved, the plugin will be 10 on 10. Overall, it’s a great plugin.

    Hello,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed review and feedback on our Pro version. We truly appreciate your support and the insights you’ve provided, as they are invaluable in helping us improve our plugin and the overall user experience.

We understand your concerns regarding the management of staging site licenses, especially when using third-party solutions like Freemius. We chose Freemius because it is widely regarded as one of the best platforms for selling and managing WordPress plugins, offering robust features for both developers and users. However, we recognize the challenges you’ve mentioned, particularly in scenarios involving staging environments on WPEngine and the transition to production. Your feedback highlights an important area for improvement, and we are committed to exploring better solutions to support seamless transitions and enhance performance.

Regarding your suggestion for adding the ability to include multiple prices for dropdown values, this is a fantastic idea. It aligns well with our goal to provide flexible and powerful tools for creating complex calculators with ease. We invite you to extend a feature request with more details on this. Your specific use case, including the need for refundable and non-refundable rates, will be incredibly helpful in guiding our development priorities.

Please note, for future discussions on Pro version features or any commercial product aspects, we encourage reaching out directly through our official support channels. This ensures we can provide focused attention to your suggestions and concerns outside the public forums like WP.org, which are primarily intended for free version discussions.

We are grateful for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Once again, thank you for your constructive feedback and for highlighting areas where we can improve. We look forward to making our plugin even better with your help.

    Best regards,

    Jacob, Support Team
