• I appreciate WPManageNinja. I use Fluent forms, Ninja Tables and Fluent Support. Without these, my business would be much harder to do.

FluentAuth is a good idea, however, there needs to be some more work done. I installed the plugin on two websites; one with fluentsmtp and one without. I then enabled the 2FA option for both sites and logged myself out.

I tried logging in again. The website with fluentsmtp sent me the 2FA message, I copied the code and logged in. I never received the 2FA code on the site without FluentSMTP. I was locked out of my website.

I began to panic briefly. I had to go to my host and restore one of my backups from yesterday. So, if I had been entering data all day, it means I would have lost a lot of data.

For the website with FluentSMTP, I logged out and tried to login again. The 2FA message came like 10 minutes later or so. So, that too was a concern.

Sorry about this review but it is the truth and if i am going to be depending on this for the security of my site, it should work flawlessly. I am asking Shahjahan and team to please work on the email side of things for notifications and to provide users with more information on what exactly to do to get 2FA notifications flawlessly.

Once these issues have been addressed, I will change my rating to 5 stars and if possible, update this review.

    Hello @francisokech

Thank you for using our products. FluentAuth does not control your server email, it’s controlled by your server or your email service providers. If your site can’t send emails then you should not enable 2FA with email. In case, your are locked out, you can just go to file manage from your hosting and delete the plugin manually.

It’s a 100% self hosted WordPress plugin and We don’t control emails or anything from our server. getting a 3-start rating for the reason which we don’t control is making me very sad. Hopefully, you will reconsider your rating.

We have worked hundreds of hours on this and make it available free and open for everyone.

    Hi Shahjahan,

Please do not be sad. Being a creator myself, I understand the money and time you must have spent on developing this plugin. I also feel bad when I get a negative review.

You know that many ordinary people will download this wonderful plugin of yours, who do not know that the 2FA emails etc is not controlled by Fluentauth but by their server email. Please state this information on the plugin’s homepage.

Also, Sir, please consider creating a video tutorial to address this issue. The video should cover what exactly one needs to do or setup before enabling the 2FA feature in order not to get logged out. The video should also show how to delete the plugin manually from one’s host in case one gets logged out.

So, with this, users will have all the information they need to properly setup Fluentauth. This will prevent panic and negative reviews once and for all. The vide can be titled “How to enable 2FA for Your Website With Fluentauth”. I hope you can see the importance of this.

Once this tutorial is up, I will give you 5 stars and update my review in your favor.
