• The Hot Random Image plugin does exactly what we want it to, but seems to perform best in Chrome, patchily in Edge, and doesn’t seem to work in Safari at all. Has anyone else experienced this or similar?

    Hello,

The output of the plugin is simple (just an image), so I doubt it can have problems with compatibility with any browser. The demo page works fine on my Safari: https://wpdemo.hotjoomlatemplates.com/test/hot-random-image/#more-5

Please check this page in your Safari.

    Regards,

Hi, thanks so much for your fast response. We appreciate it.

The link you sent to your demo page works fine in Safari, and Edge.

So it appears that Hot Random Image stops working after one or both of the following are used/installed:

    1. Google reCAPTCHA for Contact Form 7 in WordPress
    2. GDPR Cookie Compliance Plugin (CCPA ready) plugin

We would be happy to pay a consultancy fee if you are able to look into the conflict and see what the problem is. Like you said, Hot Random Image is a very simple plugin, so we don’t understand why using proprietary Google security software and/or a widely-used GDPR plugin would affect Hot Random Image, but your plugin is a key feature on our new website which launched a week ago.

    Thank you very much again.

I wanted to give you another update, after I have deactivated the GDPR Cookie Compliance Plugin (CCPA ready) plugin, and removed reCAPTCHA from Contact Form 7…

Hot Random Image still appears to not work in Edge (PC) or Safari (Apple), but does work in Chrome, which always seems to be the best browser. This is so strange! We are open to all conclusions, including it being something we’ve done wrong, but we haven’t modified your plugin, and the only difference from our staging site (where Hot Random Image works great in all browsers) and our live site is that the live site has GDPR Cookie Compliance Plugin (CCPA ready) plugin and reCAPTCHA.

Hi, did you ever get this resolved. Hot Random Images was working in Safari beautifully for quite some time. But now it doesn’t work for me as well.

Hi. Yes, in the end, we resolved the issue, and Random Hot Image is working. The plugin seems not to work if cache is enabled in WordPress, so we disabled cache on the specific pages which use Hot Random Image. In our experience, Safari seems weird in many ways with WordPress and DIVI, not just with Hot Random Image.
