    Hi

    This is a greaat plugin, perfectly matching what we are intending for the website, which is simply offering to choose 1 gift from multiple options.

    the thing is our website is in two languages: English (LTR), Arabic (RTL), our theme and almost all plugins support WPML. But the thing with Giftable, I can’t translate the fields and the arrows would act in reverse in the Arabic page which would render them useless (the arrow tries to go for the empty area and resist going to where the second page of products actually is. And in the arabic page when I choose a gift it isn’t added.

    I can alternatively strict myself with 4 variable products and have the options inside each variable product. unless there is a solution from your side.

    Another thing, strangely in the main page (in English) the pagination buttons appear empty while in the arabic page which is the translation, it has numbers!

    One last thing, is it possible to have the products offered in the checkout page instead?

    I really appreciate your work on this plugin.

    01. I’m not sure what’s the issue, as plugin supports WPML and all things can be translated via backend and WPML, you need to have WPML + WooCommerce Multilingual. for strings: WPML String Translation with WPML Translation Management.

    All products (even gifts), categories needs to be translated to all languages.

    02. Pagination buttons on main page? I’m not sure does this have anything to do with Giftable plugin, as we only add Gift Slider to “Cart”.

    03. Checkout page, not supported right. We have plans to include this but don’t have ETA (I cant promise it will be anytime soon)

    If you could share a link to website or sent them over email so we can take a look.

    Thanks for your reply!

    R1) I do have WMPL CMS and all, I actually deleted the plugin thinking you don’t support WPML! I retreated to using coupons which is kind of a degrade. But now that you are saying it is supported, sure I’ll reinstall it and check the translations, I honestly didn’t translate everything (products and categories are translated tho)

    R2) I am talking about pagination of the slider in the cart (when I have 8 gifts for example, there will be two pages, but the pagination appears without numbers and looks like a vertical pill)

    R3) No worries, cart page will do.

    website is https://www.onmo.la (maintenance page activated)

    my email is [email protected]

    at what email shall I contact you

    THANKS A LOT!

    1. You can also use .po files from plugin folder /languages/ with poedit
    – or WPML string translations, also you need to translate every gift and every gift category to second language

    2. For pagination we use “dots” by default, there is no numbers.
    – if you want to show numbers you could edit css for buttons:

    .dgfw-available-gifts .slick-dots > li > button {
        display: inline-block;
        overflow: hidden;
        width: auto;
        height: auto;
        padding: 8px 10px;
        margin: 0 3px;
        border-radius: 50%;
        line-height: 1;
    }

    Hi anahmad,

    We just released a quick update (version 0.9.10) with improved WPML support (you’re still required to translate & set up all gift categories and gifts in all languages, and translate the labels in the settings using WMPL string translations), and a tiny JS/CSS fix for the gift carousel on the frontend – it should now work fine with RTL languages (including Arabic) too.

    Thanks for letting us know about the issues, write back if you still have problems using the plugin with your multilingual setup.

    Thanks a lot for the update, I now see that I can translate the gift categories.

    I did what was needed, as a test I translated all the text using the po file and imported it back to wpml. I translated the gift category and all the gifts. the gifts now appear in the English page but not the Arabic page. However when I add the gift in the English page and go to the arabic page, the gift remains in the cart just fine (but that won’t be the scenario for users for sure).. I don’t know why the slider disappears in the Arabic page, although when in my first try it was appearing but with the functionality problems I told you about. I will contact you via email and send you screenshots.

    Thanks!

    Oh, that doesn’t seem right. Can you just check to make sure that:

    1) All your gift categories (in both languages) are enabled (that’s a checkbox above the conditions on the gift category edit screen) and have the appropriate conditions set up (you can actually have different conditions for different translations, if that’s what you need).

    2) All your gifts/giftable products are assigned to appropriate gift categories in their respective language (again, you need to set this up for products in both languages separately).

    It might seem a little complicated to set it all up separately for each WPML language, but that’s the best we could do for now, we might try to improve/streamline this experience in one of the future releases.

    Hey,

    I just sent an email with my screenshots, gift categories in both languages are enabled and set with the same condition.

    R2/ I have set the dummy products as giftable and chose the category, yet I can’t do that for the translated product in the same way as the translation page is limited to name/slug/discription. However, as you can see in one of the screenshots, in the list of the products it shows that the Arabic gift category is assigned to products. I don’t know how to do that separately.

    Thank you veeery much.

    We switched WPML to Native WooCommerce editing screen:

    WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Settings > Native WooCommerce product editing screen.

    – edited gift product for every language – checked box: Giftable, and its working.

    Thank you for your interest in Giftable for WooCommerce.
