    Most people don’t need all the information Google Analytics provides. Besides, it’s a GDPR nightmare and on top slows the website down.

    Independent Analytics gives you the info you really need. If you need more, check out their Pro version (they also have lifetime deals).
    No GDPR problems with Independent Analytics and if you aim to have a cookie-banner-free website, this plugin can be one important part on your way to reach this goal.
    Finally, if you switch from Google Analytics to Independent Analytics, you will be pleased with the speed increase.
