Great plugin

I’m old enough to have lived through the time before personal computers had hard drives. And when hard drives came out, it was just a matter of when they would fail. Through hard experience I learned to backup and backup and backup. UpdraftPlus setup is easy, and the ability to have it automatically backup the database and plugins before doing updates is a plus.
With remote storage, I can send the backups to DropBox and have those backups automatically downloaded to my computers. I run staging sites in virtual machines on my computers and with UpdraftPlus I always have fresh backups to update the staging sites or create new staging sites.
Great plugin. Easy to use and creates hourly backups without a hitch.

December 2022 update: I had to move my site to a new server. I kept the old site running until I verified the new site was working. When I was ready to go live with the new site, I made a final backup of my old site and turned on maintenance mode. I went to the new site, and restored the database to the last backup from the old site. Even though the database has hundreds of thousands of records, UpdraftPlus restored the database to that of my last backup in less than a minute. I made the dns changes to point my domain to the new site and I was up and running.
