• A fantastic form, but very limited in its possibilities. Contact form 7 has many more features, such as datapicker for free. This form won’t make it. For a booking site you want amounts to be totaled. For a simple website it is very intuitive.

    Hey there, @robhuis ??

Bummer! Sorry to see you leave us a two-star review.

Unlike Contact Form 7, we’re a freemium plugin. Which means some of the free features in Contact Form 7 are only available in our paid plans. Think of us more like Ninja Forms or Caldera Forms in that respect.

On the flip side, having this commercial backing means our customer support, security audits and ease of use are miles ahead of Contact Form 7.

As an indie team, I’d be thrilled to bits to see you change your review. Might you consider that? Even four-star review would be so wonderful.

I know we can’t compete again a completely free plugin on features, but when you consider the bigger picture — support, security and usability — I think we’re offering a cracking good little form builder for free.

I hope you change your mind. It’d mean so much.

Everything free gets better, WordPress is free, Jetpack is free Jetpack boost is free. Wikipedia is free. If you share knowledge, the world will be a better place. WordPress makes money from the greed of people who want bells and whistles. Likewise with your plugin. Fine for simple matters, but only a contact form is very simple. There are a lot of those. Good luck with the development. Contact form 7 is popular for a reason.

Bummer! Sorry you feel this way, @robhuis.

Unlike your examples, we aren’t run on fundraising or contributions. We are a most definitely a freemium business.

None of the freemium businesses — Yoast, Elementor, Askimet, WooCommerce, Jetpack, WPForms, Wordfence, Advanced Custom Fields — would exist if it were not for their commercial upgrades. It’s these paid upgrades that support the free ecosystem in the first place.

I really do hope you consider removing or updating your review. It’d greatly help us to make our free version even better.

As I mentioned, we are just an indie team doing our best to offer a free version of our otherwise paid plugin. We love WordPress and we’re here to add to the community in a way we can do so sustainably.

Fingers crossed you consider removing or updating your review.
