Great at first glance, but buggy and annoying
-
My problem is I use Google plugins for my XML Sitemap & I use another plugin for inserting codes into the Header & footers of my pages.
WordPress SEO by Yoast annoyingly and often gives me alerts in WordPress that I need to disable my other plugins (mentioned above) and/or configure the WordPress SEO settings. I have gone in and disabled the “conflicting” parts of WordPress SEO by Yoast because I want to use the other plugins for those specific tasks. They perform better for my applications. But even then, I keep getting the VERY annoying reminders that I needed to disable my other plugins. Sadly, If I find a plugin that helps me optimize my SEO settings for each page, I would quit using WordPress SEO by Yoast because of the never ending reminders.
Update: I have had SEO by Yoast installed long enough for it to populate my page titles/ meta descriptions into Search Engines. It has not yet done so. That fact coupled with the constant everyday notices to disable this or that plugin because Yoast doesn’t like it has pushed me over the edge. I’m only giving it two stars because it is a seemingly popular plugin. But from this point going further, I will not use it ever again.
