    WHAT I WOULD LOVE TO SEE NEXT: Control over featured frontpage images – maybe up to 9 or 12 posts featured.

    Better still: separate images – resized by the blogger – that can be uploaded as exact sizes, rather than the large-post-featured image that must be scaled in html or css and thus adding burden to pageload, page size and penalised on PageSpeed.
