Great… if you don't use shortcodes

  • The plugin works great, except if you use a shortcode somewhere on your WP page. This seems to be a chronic problem for the developer, who claims it’s other plugins that conflict with AddThis.

    If you plan to use the AddThis in a widget, and the page has another shortcode, the AddThis widget disappears – no icons. There doesn’t seem to be a fix for this.

    Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with shortcodes. I just did a test post using the built-in caption shortcode and can’t reproduce the problem. (Here’s a screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/DbjVO4z.png ) I

    ‘m not able to find a case from you in our support system, so if you could email the details to [email protected] including the plugin you’re using and the shortcode that makes the tools disappear I’ll dig into it further.
