Great for our small, page-based site
-
I was looking for a basic, free, responsive theme to create a small, page-based site for a local stable. After trying 3 or 4, we picked Conica. We like the minimal, fresh look of the light theme. The straightforward organization of the customization panels made sense to my team who would maintain the site after I handed it over.
After struggling to get my child theme working, I was pleased and surprised to discover that the authors of this theme included a place to add your own css as a part of the theme customization. I love the feature, just wish I had found it earlier.
If I could have a wish granted, I would like it if the theme was more clever about how it handles images between desktop and mobile, or figured out how to make things work with the default WP “medium” image size. I ended up figuring out the dimensions that would scale from desktop-tablet-mobile and entering custom measurements for all my images.
It would also be great if I could easily remove the image box shading easily as a checkbox in the plugin.
