Great for member database

  • I really enjoyed using this plugin so far. I’m using it to set up a database of Alumni members, and I’ve found that the free version has a generous number of features. It is well done, without bugs, and well documented. The CSV import tool works very well when importing a large database (mine had 3000 members). It was easy to set up the fields and then download a template CSV, and upload again. Re-importing data when making changes works well with the ID matching.

    I really appreciate the work you’ve put into this and I will definitely think of it when planning future projects.

    There was one item that I ran into and I wonder if there would be a way to build a solution into the plugin. When importing my list of people, I wanted the person’s full name as the Title of the BD post, however I also wanted to be able to filter by both Last and First name alphabetically. I used a javascript work-around for my site which is fine but I wonder if other people come across this.

    As for your question, you can actually have the option of using the First/Last Name as the Listing Title, and then adding hidden fields for First Name and Last Name, which can then be used for sorting.
