Great design, but redirect chains & massive bouncerate

    The design is great. However, our main category pages came in redirect chains when activating the plugin. This made essential pages unreachable. When we found a clever way to surpass this, we discovered that the page exclusion option didn’t work. Some pages are just depend on Javascript which doesn’t work too great with AMP so we needed to exclude them, but this plugin didn’t work with that. This caused 90% bouncerates on the amp pages. Lots of wasted time spent to make it work. Very unfortunate.

    Hi @nielszee,

    Sorry to hear about your experience. One quick question; are you sure you were using our AMP WP plugin, as most of the users mixed other AMP plugin with ours due to them having a similar name as ours.

    Check our page exclusion option in our demo server page, it is working perfectly fine. Maybe you didn’t find out the option of disable AMP on pages.

    Please check again and confirm if you were working with our AMP plugin, we would be more than happy to help resolve your issues.

    Hi Mohsin,

    I am sure I used AMP WP and not AMP for WP or any other.

    The problem is: I used the option, but it didn’t work. That’s the frustrating part.

    When I try your option on a page specific level, I get a redirect chain, making the page unreachable: https://monosnap.com/file/fNMxYgMWTAS4de7ufvB77wGXGyA08B

    Also “2. Settings > Exclude URLs From Auto Converting:” didn’t (at all).

    The theme we have is custom build, so that could be a thing.

    I would be open to look into it, because I think the plugin is a great addition, but we really need to exclude important pages for it.
