Great concept for Gutenberg
-
I love the concept of this plugin. Rather than adding bloat and recreating the blocks already existing in Gutenberg, extend the current blocks and make them incredibly flexible and useful.
This gets a full five stars from me even though the execution is in its early stages (I would love to see minification of the CSS output and an option to use an external stylesheet). It’s the direction of the plugin that I think is needed and right for the community.
I really like the approach of extending what’s already in Gutenberg for a number of reasons, not least of which is because it will ensure better compatibility and scalability moving forward and it doesn’t tie us into having to use a particular suite of blocks from one vendor.
The only concern will be what WordPress choose to do moving forwards. How many of the design controls already in EditorPlus will appear in Gutenberg and how much development time will be needed to work with this etc.?
Thank you for a great plugin Munir!
