• “BetterDocs is a nice plugin!”

    Thats what i said to my colleagues when I introduced the plugin to you.
    And that’s true!

    BetterDocs servs a ton of features packed with a nice customizer to create a custom and a bit unique wiki.
    The installation with the “Quick Setup” Tool was very easy and i didn’t need big administrator knowledge to get this working.

    This plugins comes with a own customizer area where you can highly customize the howl wiki. From a layout for the categories and single docs to customization of the colors, the distances (margin, padding), font sizes and much more.

    Its a solid, good working, functional and high exclusive plugin that i can recommend!

    Why i gave only 4 stars?
    I only have two little points, because i only gave a 4 star rating for this plugin.
    At first, i hate it if features are locked behind a payment wall! Props to you, that we can disable the branding without the pro version, but good features are locked and need the pro version to unlock.
    Its my opinion! It would be much better, if you make branding removing and/or the commercional use for pro only. Something like that.
    I mean, i respect your work and its very nice, but its my opinion that i don’t like this way.

    Second points is about the support. It can be a bad day that i got when i wrote to the support, but i don’t had a very good conversation.
    First of all, i asked in the livechat and waited like 10 minutes or something like that. Then i wrote another message and waited some minutes again. I wrote a third message and waited again but with 3 messages and like 30 minutes i didn’t got an answer.
    Then i wrote about email and got an answer after a day. That’s good!
    She helped me with my problem, but the message didn’t answer my second topic. So the message was not really taken into account. To me it looked like she’d scanned the email and just read the word branding and then just replied to it.

    Conclusion:
    BetterDocs is a plugin that’s good for everyone who wants a nice wiki. For restrict categories or something like that you need another plugin. That would be worth an update.
    You have much functions and a customizer with many options to customize your wiki.
    Some features are locked behind a paymentwall that is not nice in my opinion but it is acceptable.
    The support is okey but not “the yellow from the egg” ^^

    Anyways, I can understand why you gave the plugin 4 star but I think there has been some kinda misunderstanding hence don’t think it’s quite fair.

    First of all, Majority of our features are actually available in just the FREE version actually. From a business point of view, like all the products, we do need some selling points to promote our plugin so that people can buy it, right? The reason for the locked for PRO being there just so people can realize what they will get with the Premium version and explore them. It’s actually a very common practice in the WordPress ecosystem. Anyways, Thanks for this feedback.

    Regarding your complaints about Support, I am sorry to hear that you didn’t have the best of experience. We get actually tons of live chat requests everyday hence replies can get a bit delayed in there. And, in the email support, we usually reply within 24 hours.

    Seems like our support staff has mistakenly missed one of your queries. Then again we are all humans, right? But we should have been more careful nevertheless. Really sorry about that. If you can tell me your ticket number, I will check the ticket and get back to you, don’t you worry!

    I really appreciate the honest feedback you have given us here. But I think a bit of misunderstanding has caused you to give us the 4*. Cause, if you check out our all the other reviews, you will see how people love both our product and the support.

    So, it would be great if you consider changing the rating to 5*. And, do note that, we are constantly working on bring new features based on the suggestions coming from you guys!
