• After using the plugin for about a month, I’m still very much happy with everything this tool does.

Because it is developed by experts, it makes a solid impression and it works great. Cookies are detected and searched in a database. A list is shown in the cookiepolicy, etc. Because of this I truly believe that I’m doing as much as possible to comply with the GDPR-regulations. So keep up the good work and thanks for this great plugin!

If allowed in the free-version, I hope it’s possible to give two suggestions:

    1. Because I’m using the free version, I would like to contribute in reporting cookies etc. (If this helps.) Because some terms are not clear to me, I’m afraid to do so. Strangely two of the cookies that are not recognized appear to be from Complainz. (Complianz-config and complianz-consent-status). Also, some other popular plugin-names are listed as “miscellaneous”. Is this common and how should this be fixed?

    2. Because I rely so heavily on this plugin, it would be great if a service is offered by Complianz to inspect someones website. The plugin says it will not place certain cookies prior to consent, but I’m finding it’s difficult to check this. Foremost I want to check whether I configured the plugin correctly.

But, I can’t stress this enough: great plugin. It takes away the need for several other plugins.

    Hi @ag86nl14,

Thanks for your feedback. It’s always appreciated, and very instructive in how to make it as user-friendly as possible.

    Regarding the two points;

    1. The Complianz cookies should be synched correctly, and if this is not the case I would suggest a rescan under Cookies -> Used Cookies. This might resync other miscellaneous cookies as well. If this is not the case; it should say: Under investigation. This means the cookies information is synched to cookiedatabase.org, and our moderators are looking for ways to describe these cookies. When this is done, it will be resycnhed automatically to your website. If you want to help us out, and become a contributor you can register at https://cookiedatabase.org/. On the 27th op april we will release 4.5, in this release we have made tweaks to the synchronization further optimize this process.

    2. We would love some feedback about this, what are the parts in the wizard and final configuration you might want to double check? For the first part in countering this issue, I would like to create a checklist on how to double-check configurations.

    Let me know, thanks again!

    regards Aert

    Hi Aert,

Thank you for your quick reply.

    Regarding the two points:
    1. First I synced the cookies, but nothing changed. After I deselected 1 cookie from Complianz to automatically sync with cookiedatabase.org (and reselected it after that), more cookies were synced. It now seems to work. Great to see that even more improvements are made in 4.5.

    2. For example: the double check I would like to see is a list/overview of what happens when options like “functional cookies only” and “accept all” are selected.

Finally, a list of cookies is shown after the first scan. But, when inspecting multiple pages of my site, Chrome only shows a few of these cookies. I noticed that this is a bit confusing, but perhaps needs soms more studying on my part.

    Kind regards,

    Peter Benard
