If I activate and deactivate the plugin (actually any plug-in related to WooCommerce), I noticed the field will appear once. Then on page refresh it is grayed out again.

I tried deactivating different WooCommerce plugins, and also downgrading WooCommerce itself. Nothing is helping.

    Hi @dumples

This was working perfectly for over a year. Now it isn’t working.

That’s a very strong indication that something on your site changed to cause that behavior. Reviewing your checkout page, I can see that the Stripe plugin scripts are not being loaded on your checkout page.

If you’re using a cookie plugin, make sure any required exclusion rules are added, such as js.stripe.com.

On the WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced Settings page, make sure you have the checkout page ID added to the settings.

    Kind Regards

    Hello,

Yes, something must have changed, but I can’t figure out what. I try to keep my plug-ins to a minimal.

I am not using a cookie plugin.

I checked the Advanced Settings page and the page ID is correct for the checkout page.

One thing I noticed, is that when I deactivate or activate any plugin, the Stripe plugin scripts load once. Then on page refresh they disappear again.

    Any other ideas?

Elementor is the only plug-in I see that auto-updated yesterday.

Are you using any kind of caching plugin?

Was your checkout page built using Elementor?

    Kind Regards

I just downgraded Elementor and it fixed it. Yes, it was built with Elementor.

Are you using Elementor Pro or the free version? I’d like to review their release notes, if they’re available, to understand what the issue might be.

I think it would be good to contact Elementor and let them know of this behavior as well.

    Kind Regards

Downgrading to elementor.3.25.11 resolved the problem. Whatever was is the latest elementor update broke it.

I have Elementor Pro. But the standard free Elementor update is what broke it.

I will see if we can replicate this issue using the latest version of Elementor.

I will create a support topic on the elementor plugin forum and link to this topic here so they know.

This is what they said on the Elementor forum, and it worked:

Perhaps to help fix your problem, I can shed some light on how to solve it.

You have to go to Elementor > Settings > Features and disable element caching, it is enabled by default.

After this, everything works as it should.

yesterday indeed elementor issued a new feature whose name if I’m not mistaken is element caching and it’s still in the beta stage, and that’s also what might create problems in this Elementor 3.26.0 update.

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I’m sorry to hear of the issues you’re encountering.

We are aware of conflicts with some plugins after the update, and these are being investigated to determine if the issue is related to Elementor, or the 3rd party plugins which need to release an update on their end to stay compatible with the latest Elementor update and dev deprecations.

As some of these plugins have already issued fixes, please keep an eye out for plugin updates and update accordingly.

Please also reference the following guide in case it helps:

    Kind Regards.
