Hi, we have a professional license and the Gravity Forms integration add-on so when someone submits a Gravity Form and they want to subscribe they are automatically subscribed. Unfortunately, if spam bots fill out the gravity form it still subscribes them causing a high bounce rate on newsletters. Do you have any code snippets or ways to limit it so if the Gravity Form succeeds it will only add those subscribers? Right now it looks like it’s firing on form submit and not success. A way to prevent spam subscribers would be very much appreciated.

Hi, to get support about an addon for the Newsletter plugin, please open a ticket at https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com, since the addon is not part of the free Newsletter plugin.

Anyway, since the data is collected by a Gravity form, you should add a captcha to that form: once the data is collected, Gravity (and any other form manager), fires an event with that data which is “trusted” by the “second-step” components which process it (database storage, email notification, subscription and so on).
