Gravity Forms honeypot compatibility

If a gravity form has anti-spam honeypot enabled, and a bot submits the form and triggers the honeypot, does this plugin discard the submission as it should, or does it forward it to external services? I ask because the external service has spam entries that are missing from the form entries in the wp-admin, which makes me think these were discarded by the honeypot.
