• I cant seem to get my gravatar pic to show up under my user profile. I have tried it with an about author plugin and with my theme setting and get nothing. It works with other sites fine.

I can see it right here, to the left of your post. Is that the Gravatar you were expecting?

No, website is still under construction. Here is a test blog post so you can see how it’s not showing up.

Can you see it in the Users section of your site’s Dashboard?

    No. Blank profile picture.

At the bottom of Settings -> Discussion in your Dashboard, have you enabled Gravatar? What is the maximum rating you’ve allowed?

Yes, show avatars is selected and then “Mystery Person” is selected which is what is showing in my profile image.

    G?

Ok, edit your Gravatar over at Gravatar.com, and make sure the email address there matches the email address on the profile. Also make sure that the Gravatar itself is rated G and not anything higher (not PG, R, or X).

OK. I redid the gravatar for that site. It didn’t have one associated with my site email. It took a couple of tries but it went through. Shows the image on the sites email and the rating is the same. I have waited more than 10 mins but it still has the mystery person shown on my user profile. Show avatars is still selected but mystery person is selected as default. I read something on Gravatar about clearing my cache?

The Gravatar needs to be associated with the email on the author’s profile at Users -> Your Profile in the site’s Dashboard, not the site’s email.

Ahhh. That did it! I assumed it went by the username on the profile page. I changed the contact email back to the main one used with my gravatar and it’s working.

Now, that email shouldn’t show up anywhere on my site now should it? I don’t see it in the contact author box. Just don’t want to use that as a contact anywhere for my site.

    Thanks so much!

Whats the purpose of having a secondary email added on to your gravatar? The site I was having trouble with was a subdomain and I thought that adding an email to my main gravatar email as a secondary would allow me to do that.

Depending on the theme, it *can*, but with that said in almost 12 years of working with WordPress, I have *never* seen that. ??

Whats the purpose of having a secondary email added on to your gravatar?

It just makes it easier to keep the same Gravatar if you have multiple email addresses. For example, I’ve commented with about 8 email addresses over my life, so those are all added to my Gravatar account with the same Gravatar image assigned to them.

    Hi, I have same problem.
The URL of my blog is https://blog.hangadac.com.
I set my email address with that of Gravatar in Users -> Your profile -> Contact Info.
But there is no gravatar image on my profile.
In wordpress.com and www.remarpro.com, my gravatar image shows well.
    I reset browser cache, too.
    Any advice to me?
