Gravatar not displaying in WordPress

    Several weeks ago my gravatar stopped showing up in all my WordPress based sites. I went to gravatar.com and reviewed all settings. All were ok. Images all set to ‘G’. I checked the WordPress settings/discussion page on one of my sites. Show Avatars box was checked. Image rating set to ‘G’ and the Default Avatar box set to Gravatar Logo.

    I opened the Edit Profile page and checked the Profile Picture. There was an empty box. Right clicking on the box and selecting open image in new tab brought up the correct gravatar. My gravatar is not even showing up on my www.remarpro.com profile page.

    I’ve reviewed all I could find on this issue. Information on the subject was old. All my settings are per recommendations. This has me stumped. Could it possibly be a server issue?

    As it matches on email, make sure you have the right email entered in your WP user account.

    I tried these options with no success. The correct e-mail was entered in WordPress. Your gravatar is not showing up in your support message.

    Hmmm… maybe you or your host are blocking access to gravatar.com? Please check your PC’s firewall settings.

    I turned my firewall off. Gravatars still not showing. I will send a message to my host and ask if the issue is on their end.

    Thanks Steve for the heads up. It wasn’t my firewall program that was causing the problem. It was my antivirus program. It installed a social media tracker up in the right corner of my browser. It was blocking gravatar. I told it to quit blocking. All is well.
