• I have a child theme. I use eme.css, style.css and functions.php in graphene-child. I had big problems with the 2.0 update.

How can I install 2.0 as a separate theme and keep 1.9.4.3 while I am working on 2.0 customization?

  • The easiest way to do this would be to install WordPress and Graphene 2.0 in a localhost environment. That way, whatever you do is completely unrelated to your website.

If you don’t want to go that route, you can always install WordPress and Graphene 2.0 in a subdomain (i.e., graphene.example.com) or a subdirectory (i.e., example.com/graphene) and do your work there. When you’re done, install 2.0 on your regular site, upload your child theme, and then delete your subdomain or subdirectory.
