Grant Access under edit order, not working

When I go to edit an order, under the Downloadable Product Permissions section, I wish to grant access to customers who place orders that include both shipped and downloadable products so they can get their downloads before the order is completed (shipped). Or I wish to grant access to a downloadable product for any other reason. Problem is, when I select the product(s) and click Grant Access, I just get the spinning loading circle graphic and nothing ever happens. Does anyone else get this and if so, what is the fix?
