Grabbing attachments, display them on the index.php

  • I am trying to set up a site an index page consisting of nothing but image s, no words (other than the main nav). Those images will be links to more details.

    I am playing around with..
    ?post_parent
    ?wp_get_attachment_image_src

    I can’t find a lot of documentation that makes sense to me on these functions. I really just need to display the first attachment of the post on the index and have the rest show up on the single.php page (along with text and all that).

    Really looking to understand these two functions a bit more.
