• Hello,

When loading a GPX file from the library we always get a pop-up window with the following alert: “GPX file could not be parsed – please check your browser console for more information!”. The JS console on Chrome shows the following error: “Security check failed – please call this function from the according admin page! admin.php?page=leafletmapsmarker_layer&id=1&status=updated&Layername=Test:867“.

After we receive the alert we can press Return in the address field and the GPX is loaded without problems.

    Any idea?

  • please check if the map loads on frontend and if any other plugin conflicts with my plugin (=temporarily disable all other plugin for verifying this)

    Thank you for the support!

I disabled all plugins and I receive the same error.

When pressing return in the populated address field the page is refreshed and the track loaded onto the map, is this what you mean with checking if the map loads on front-end?

please post a URL to a page with a map and gpx track here, that′s what I meant (so that I can have a look)

I was having the same issue. However, I was trying to add the gpx file under “new marker” and then I tried adding the file under “new layer” and it worked just fine that way. I hope this helps.

Having the same issue. GPX files that work with no problem at all in other plugins won’t parse. Also when I go to load one into the media library the window shows no other files at all. Apart from photos there are other gpx files in the media library.

For pro version please open a support ticket at https://www.mapsmarker.com/helpdesk and please also include a link to your map / gpx file

I was testing out the plugin as it looked very promising. It would not parse a gpx file; and displaying gpx tracks on a map is what we want to do. That’s it. As far as I’m concerned it’s non functional and I have deleted it. I want a plugin that works out the box. I’m fed up with WP malfunctioning at every step! Sorry.

well, welcome to the IT world ??
