• Can someone advise is it safe to use a GPL plugin for WordPress. I have been offered a GPL plugin to trial and very dubious about uploading it into the site. What if anything should I be cautious about? The licenced version is expensive but told could use the Gpl version to see how I get on. Just I don’t know what rules are around this? Will I be OK to use to trial it?

All WordPress plugins (at least, those from here on www.remarpro.com) are GPL licensed. Tehre’s nothing inherently insecure about GPL licensed code.

Do you trust the people who’ve offered this to you? Is this a site that offers nulled versions of licensed (paid) plugins? If so, no, do not trust them.
