GPay Payment is bypasses recaptcha

    Hi there,

    We have created this ticket because we are facing an issue with GPay when used with “Recaptcha for Woocommerce” plugin.

    In the checkout page whenever the user selects ‘Gpay’ as payment method and clicks on ‘Pay with Gpay’ button without verifying the recaptcha, it bypasses recaptcha verification and proceeds with allowing user to enter the payment details. The same issue can be seen on single product page as well as cart page.

    We reached out to the ‘recaptcha for woocommerce’ plugin support and this is what they have to say:

    “Currently there is no way to inject reCaptcha in Payment Request buttons like google pay, apple pay etc. The payment plugin does not have any javascript hooks to inject reCaptcha data. You may try official WooPayment/Stripe Official plugin that have this.”

    Could you please help resolve this issue?

    The Stripe plugin isn’t bypassing your reCAPTCH plugin. The GPay wallet opening doesn’t mean something was bypassed because that’s not when payment is actually taken. The payment is not processed until the checkout form is submitted and WooCommerce performs it’s server side validations.

    If the reCAPTCHA plugin is coded correctly, you will see the validation error once the actual checkout form is submitted.

    I would need more details on what they mean here. Wallet based payment methods can’t be modified to show custom fields which seems to be what they’re implying.

    Also, the site you linked to is password protected.
