    Hello,
For unknown reason, often GPay is not working with an error “Unexpected developer error, please try again later.”
On many browsers, including Instagramm-app – GPay is not working. But at the same time on some – it works (Chrome and Opera). I am unable to track down.. On the site itself – we get redirected to google, authenticated and then this error comes up. Contacted Stripe support and they did not see any requests from our side and suggesting contacting plugin developers. So far your plugin offer best functionality, but this sudden issue with GPay … especially from Instagram App, where we advertise. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.
I have enabled logs, but could not find them either. ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @antonaleksandrov,

The issue is most likely that you have pop-ups disabled on the browser(s) where you see that error.

For example, if you’re using Safari and don’t have pop-ups enabled you will receive that error message.

    Hello Clayton,
I understand. On the other hand there is no popup warning in browser and we simply end at the google. Our most concern is regarding Instagram-app, where it does not work either. Does it mean, that GooglePay is not working through Instagram app for everyone everywhere?

    Hi @antonaleksandrov,

I can’t control the error message that GPay displays when pop-ups aren’t enabled in your browser. Google doesn’t provide that as a customizable option in their API unfortunately.

Here is what Google has to say about the browsers they support:

The Google Pay API supports Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, Opera, and UCWeb UC Browser

    https://developers.google.com/pay/api/web/guides/setup

Instagram is not listed and so it looks like they don’t officially support the Instagram app browser.

    Kind Regards,

I believe it would awesome optional setting to check if user is using Chrome and disable google-pay if not – for now we have concluded, that other browsers will treat popup restriction and give errors, while Chrome will respect own payment system and will show popup. There is pretty simple javascript to do that…
