• So essentially I paid someone on Fiverr to help me redesign my website: https://www.artsynibs.com.

It looks decent now although a lot of work is needed.

However I have two issues. (Well I have a lot of issues but these are the two I need to focus on.)

1.) I cannot edit my banner.
2.) I cannot edit my footer.

For the banner, I couldn’t figure out WHERE in my WP admin panel to edit it, so I had to use FileZilla to FTP in, and manually replace the file with the new file I wanted as my banner. Ghetto fix but it worked, but it would be nice to know how to edit it through the WP admin panel.

When I go to edit my front page, the absolute first thing I can edit is my Revolution Slider… And if you take a look at my page, the banner is ABOVE the slider, so I honestly don’t know what to do.

For the footer, I simply can’t figure it out.
I googled a lot of search results.
When I go to Appearance -> Editor, there are 7 different theme files in there. I’ve gone to every theme file, and checked the footer.php in all of them, and none of them are my current footer. None of them have the current “? 2016, Artsy Nibs. All Rights Reserved”. I would like to edit this text but can’t figure it out.

    Could someone help me please?

I am happy to post a list of plugins I am using, or screenshots of my admin panel to show what the Page Editor looks like.

  • I think the answer may be in the page templates. If your helper swapped the page template, or created a new one then applied it to your homepage, you would not see the footer as you normally do.

I use this technique when I want a website to have one design on the homepage and another on all the other pages. It is possible they added a page template to the theme, then they linked the PHP files for the header and footer to the new page template.

Then it becomes a searching game for the naming methods they used for the new header and footer that are being accessed. I would first check the page template for your homepage and see if it matches the page template used by the other pages.

BTW, I never thought of using the FTP to swap out a file to be Ghetto, that’s more OG!!! LOL
