Event Rocket 3.2 was released today.

Details of the updates can be found in the changelog however besides some bugfixing for the [event_embed] shortcode the most notable changes are probably some new enhancements to the RSVP facilities (credit here is due to @mikejanzen and @mikevalstar who contributed these changes).

A cap can now be set on the number of confirmations that can be accepted and a list of confirmed attendees can optionally be displayed on the single event page. Furthermore, an email can now easily be sent to all confirmed attendees.

As ever, please download and have a play – if there are any bugs, let me know!

What’s in store for future releases?

Reviewing the issue tracker is a great way to get a sense of what is in store.

The next focus is likely to be on event duplication. It’s already pretty ok, but some great ideas have been put forward like the ability to alter not just the date but the time of the duplicate, plus the creation of multiple duplicates on different dates/times from a single dialog.

    Thanks and enjoy ??

  • I just updated and now the shortcode does not recognize my custom template anymore. Below is the code I’ve been using to call the plugin:

    [event_embed template="embedded-custom-dates" nothing_found_text="Sorry, there are currently no upcoming events."][/event_embed]

I deleted the entire plugin and all it’s contents and did a fresh install and it’s displaying fine now. Might suggest anyone using a custom template to perform the same actions. ??

How strange. And your use of the shortcode remained exactly the same, before and after? I’m really not sure how that could come about but thanks for leaving a note and I’m glad it’s now resolved.
