• Hi there,

I have built a website that uses WordPress for it’s Home, Biography, Blog, Blog Archive, and Contact pages.

The rest of the pages are built in Dreamweaver.

Basically, I create posts in in WP and assign them to a category. Then the above pages pull in categories. For example, the Home Page pulls in the “Latest News” category. The Blog page pulls in the “Blog” etc.

I am about to “go live” with my site, but I have noticed that when I search for my page, sometimes individual posts are coming up, rather than the page that they’re on. I don’t really want individual posts coming up on search engines.

Is there a way to stop this from happening? I want the pages to be indexed obviously, but not the posts.

I’ve read about “nofollow” attributes and stuff, but I don’t really understand it, or know whether it is the correct way to go.

    Many thanks,

    Chris
