    Hey all,

Just updated wordpress and all plugins to ensure I was up to date before posting this.

    1. When you search an exact post in google, the description snippet displays the meta data for the home page of the blog

    2. When you share a post on Facebook, the description is the home page description. It should be showing the description for the post.

I currently use Yoast’s SEO plugin which I use on 7 other sites, custom themes and standard themes, no issues at all on those. While creating a post in the admin backoffice, it will display the proper the snippet for the preview, but in Google and Facebook, it shows the blog’s tagline/description.

Basically if I do a search for MYBLOG.com in Google, it will show all of my indexed URLs with the proper titles, but all displaying the home page description for the snippet.

Any input would be greatly appreciated..thanks

When I delete the ‘tagline’ from the general settings, the Facebook share shows NO description text at all. So it would appear for some reason all of the Facebook/Google snippets are pulling the blog’s tagline.

I’m also experiencing the same problem, only few of the snippet is showing correctly on the search engine. Mostly are showing the title and blog description also.
