    Check out this: https://sites.google.com/site/webmasterhelpforum/en/faq-instant-previews
    It says:

Q: What’s the difference between on-the-fly and crawled previews?
A: Crawled previews are generated with content fetched with Googlebot. When we generate previews on-the-fly based on user requests, we use the “Google Web Preview” user-agent, currently:
    Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/[WEBKIT_VERSION] (KHTML, like Gecko; Google Web Preview) Chrome/[CHROME_VERSION] Safari/[WEBKIT_VERSION]
As on-the-fly rendering is only done based on a user request (when a user activates previews), it’s possible that it will include embedded content which may be blocked from Googlebot using a robots.txt file.

So, we have to acknowledge also “Google Web Preview“.

Thank you for the detailed info.

I will look into this as soon as possible and let you know when I have an update available.

    Hey,

The useragent string the Google Web Preview is using is the same as Google Chrome on Linux, with only the addition of “Google Web Preview” string in the useragent.

All tests I have done works perfectly and does not block the useragent that the FAQ page list after replacing all 3 [version] numbers with the current numbers used by the Chrome browser.

Also, I don’t see any issue in my own Webmaster Tools of the sites I have that use the plugin.

Do you still experience this issue?

    Hi,
first of all, thanks for the plugin!
This issue happens to me too. On the webmaster tools home with the list of properties I see the rejection dialog on the screenshot. If I try to “fetch and render” (Crawl->Fetch as Google) I see two screenshots:

    • This is how Googlebot saw the page: no rejection dialog
    • This is how a visitor to your website would have seen the page: rejection dialog is shown

I don’t know if it matters at all, but it bugs me to see it there ??
    Thanks in advance
