  • The sitemap “generator” will auto generate the sitemap for you. You don’t have to do anything (:

    Thank you, TheNet.

According to its installation instruction, it seems to ask me to use the “favorite FTP program to create two files in your WordPress directory (that’s where the wp-config.php is) named sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz and make them writable via CHMOD 666.”

So I am stuck in here. ??

Could you help explain again? Thank you!

Use a plain text editor to create two files named sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz with absolutely no content in them. Upload them with an FTP client to the WordPress directory, and change their permissions to 666.

Thank you, Macmanx! I have got it done!

So after clicking to build the sitemap the first time, there is nothing more I need to do now?

Do I have to submit them to google webmaster tool? Or?

    Thank you again!

You should probably submit the sitemap.xml.gz to Google’s webmaster tools. Google can sometimes find them on its own, but not always. Submitting it once means that the googlebot will always know where to look.
