• When I visit the plugin in the dashboard summary, I see red text at the top of the xml-sitemap page that says….

    # There was a problem writing your sitemap file. Make sure the file exists and is writable. Learn more

I recently upgraded to VPS hosting and also added Advanced PHP Cache, in case it is connected?

    My site is at https://jupiterflhomes.com

Is adding a url to you sitemap the most effective way to get pages indexed or is it better to point a link at the url from another page?

There was a problem writing your sitemap file.

First, make sure that the files sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz exist at the set locations. If not, create blank files with the same name using a plain text editor. If the files exist, set their permissions to 666.

I’m not sure what you mean by “point a link at the url from another page.”
