Google won’t Verify app

After going through the lengthy process of setting up my account on WPForms website and then installing the WP Mail SMTP plugin on my WP site, and then creating my API, authorized redirect url, client id, client secret, and then following all the steps to the ‘T’ I get this:
Google can’t verify app.

And so I do not have a functioning plugin. I just can’t seem to get any luck with SMTP.
My previous SMTP plugin(deactivated because it was not delivering 20% of my contact form submissions) was sending me to a 404 Google page when I hit the ‘verify with Google’ button.
