Google WMT Reporting Duplicate Meta & Title Tags After Permalinks Changed

Hi,

I recently did some housekeeping to remove underscores and also changed the year,month,date url structure to just posttitle permalinks in Yoast.

I am now getting 18 Meta Descriptions and 33 Title tags reported as being duplicated. The problem is that when I click the links to look at the pages, they immediately re-direct (presumably as they no longer exist) to the homepage. Why is google still seeing these pages and how can I fix or remove the duplicates.
