Google Webfonts not Optimized

I am using Lighthouse to test the page and its complaining about render-blocking resources which turns out to be the following css file:

https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Noto+Sans%3A400%2C400i%2C700%2C700i&subset=latin%2Clatin-ext

The plugin seems to support an option for optimizing Google fonts (swap). Just want to confirm whether it’s intended to fix this problem or is there something else I need to do?
