Hi, a simple question: I used AIOSEO to setup the Google webmaster verification code some years ago. After I recently deleted AIOSEO from my site, it seems the site is still being verified at Google. Is that “normal” and will the Google verification still be active without your plugin? (How?)

Or will Google soon discover the code is now missing since I removed your plugin? So I will have to re-verify my site to Google in another way?

@moonstruck don’t quote me on this, but I believe that once you verified your website, Google does not re-verify it after any amount of time. So if you do not remove the website property in Google Search Console, Google will continue showing it there until someone verifies and adds it to another account.

Thank you for quick answer, yes maybe it is like that. I was mostly curious and will keep an eye on it.

Hi if anyone else reads this I want to clearify that indeed it seems I did not have to “verify” my site again.. But!
This is important!: No user data from my site was being read or analyzed by Google Analytics after deleting AIOSEO, until I added the Googles UA-code back again on my site, thru another plugin! Maybe obvious, but just so you know.
(No problem for me, since the analytics was just “down” a couple of days.)
