Google v3 Recaptcha Error Intermitent

  • Hi there,

    I recently added this plugin to integrate with Caldera Forms and had no issues from my side. The keys are set up correctly and I have added the custom field to all of the forms on the site just above the submit button and toggled the “Use reCAPTCHA V3”.

    I have had no issues personally, but I have had a few people get in touch saying “The captcha wasn’t entered correctly. Reset.”.

    Can you please advise on a fix for this or if something is being actively worked on for v3 recaptcha integration?

    Same issue I had posted around the same time, seems this is a bug in the plugin itself because it is happening with everyone using v3 of recaptcha.

    I’ve just reverted to using v2 for now. Seems to be working okay, but would be nice if someone was actively answering these tickets.

    Here is a pre-release that has been merged in today – https://github.com/andrewlimaza/caldera-forms-anti-spam/pull/25

    You can pull this code directly for Github for V3 reCAPTCHA. After thorough testing this should be officially released (hopefully by the end of this week if all goes well).

    Thank you @andrewza – I know Caldera is having their own issues right now with WordPress 5.6 and is struggling to release fixes for their plugin. So hopefully one doesn’t negatively impact the other.

    Thanks for the heads up @viablethought, I’ll reach out to their team. This is a ‘small’ patch that should stabilize Caldera Forms Anti Spam for now. I do plan to add another feature to this and improve some of the code base with some backdated PR’s.

    It’s just been pushed, please let me know if anything is wrong with the update. It did remedy my own site that I was testing on now and should solve some other issues for really long forms that caused the reCAPTCHA lifespan to timeout.
